Jacqueline's lesson: Live life-Family celebrates life of woman who died at 28-windsorstar.com
When Jacqueline Moore would talk to her family about the many life experiences that basketball brought to her world, her face would illuminate with the wonder of it all. The passion, the love, the desire to learn more, enveloped her. Moore, a Herman High School grad and an assistant basketball coach for the women’s team at Eastern Illinois University, collapsed and died Nov. 4 during a workout. She was 28. Her funeral was held Saturday afternoon at her alma mater, but the day wasn’t so much about mourning Moore’s death as it was an embrace of how she lived. “We’re celebrating our sister’s life,” said her brother, Ed Moore.
